Well Hello There...

I'd like to say that I am back to blogging but for right now
its just a temporary "I'm back" for a quick update on my life.
We are now 2 months into our marriage and it has been wonderful.
Here are some pictures from the wedding and honeymoon.

 All of our jar centerpieces were from Matt's grandparents farm
(were we are living now)

Our wedding was everything we had hoped it to be.
Everything went smoothly and I felt good that whole day.
I still can't believe that our wedding has come and passed,
I still try to plan for it and then have to think "oh wait, I have already had my wedding."


On our honeymoon we went to Kona, Hawaii on the Big Island.

We had so much fun.

We also added another member to our family.

We don't have internet out at our house so not sure when I will be back. :)

Today is the DAY

It still hasn't hit me that I am going to pick him up at the airport tonight.

It just feels like another day without him.

16 weeks have passed faster than I expected.

Bring on the nerves & butterflies.

Just an Update.

I have to say the only thing that I have been stressed about so far with planning the wedding

is planning the honeymoon.

With Matt being gone it has been just a little difficult.

But  mom & I went to talk to a travel agent yesterday.

(which should of been done like a month or two ago)

Our choices are either Jamaica or Cancun

& I cannot decide where to go. 

It is no joke, stressing me out.

But other than that I am getting really excited.

We ordered our invitations, napkins & our guest book.

Told my aunt what flowers I liked & colors.

I am so thankful she is a florist &  a wedding planner 

because my mom & I would be a little lost.

Today marks 2 weeks left of Matt being gone.

My sister turns 16 on Sunday!

Monday is my final dress fitting

Next Saturday is my last day at the Y. Woohoo! 

Wednesday I am taking my bridals

Then Thursday Matt is home!

That is what keeps me going, I am glad I have fun events between today and May 5th.

Hopefully we can get our honeymoon booked between now & then.

Halfway Done!

as of this week we are halfway done with being apart.

I am so ready to have him back.

Here is to hoping that the next 8 weeks fly by as fast as the first 8 did.

The 13 days are over and thank goodness for that! 

Now I just can't get enough of my Skype dates with him but only 74 more days till I get to see his face in person. I am so glad that that February is coming to an end, the time is actually moving right along. 

He emailed me these pictures from Nicaragua. 

 This was his host family he lived with for 5 days.

 He said this is what he rode to and from work. 

how serious he was, I am not sure.

Other news:

I had my first soccer game as a coach last Tuesday.

We ended up losing 2-1 but it was the first scrimmage they have had

and I thought they did well. I am really surprised to say that I am actually enjoying it!

Tomorrow I have my first "Meet the Players Night" as a coach too.

Should be interesting. Also I have 3 more games this week.

I am so glad I have this to keep me busy.

A Post About Valentine's Day

So as you know my Valentine is in Costa Rica but I am trading him in this year for this girl:

We have a hot date that includes dinner at Moe's and Gnomeo & Juliet.

I am pretty excited.

The other day watching TV I saw this Hallmark commercial and I thought it was super sweet:

Even though Matt is gone I still got to enjoy these pretty flowers that he had his sweet momma order for me. 

So on Monday we have 11 more weeks/80 more days till he comes home 

and 3 or 4 more days till I can skype with him again. 

Man, am I ready to hear his voice.

I miss my Valentine.

Yes, another Matt update. : )

As of this past Monday it has been 4 weeks since he has been gone. We have 12 more weeks to go!
I have had a lot of people ask if I have been able to talk to him. The answer is yes. We have been able to to skype and gmail chat quite a bit. However, the last time I have talked to him was Saturday night and I won't get to talk to him until the 18th or 19th. So far I have been okay with this but I am sure in a few days it will hit me.

The reason why I can't talk to him for 13 days is because he is in Nicaragua staying with a host family for 5 days and then doing "touristy" stuff the next 5 days. There are 2-3 days of travel in there to get back to his QUERC station.

He emailed me these 2 pictures from a hike they went on. 

I think after these 2 weeks are done time will fly by and Matt will be home. I have staying busy with work, soccer, and babysitting Rhys. My free time, I am getting to spend time with friends and I have actually enjoyed my alone time! I have a Valentine's date with Lori that I am super excited about too.

So I just redid my blog.
I like it.
And that house up there in the picture is where Matt and I will live.
Yes, I Randi will live on a farm.

Anyways...
Back in September I was asked to help coach the Yukon JV soccer team. At first I though "absolutely not!" But after I thought about it I decided I should at least try it out.
So far it is going good, I am actually enjoying it.
I always remembered spring soccer flying by when I played so I am hoping it will keep me busy and then Matt will be home. *fingers crossed*

As far as wedding planning has been going we have the date, the venue, the dress, the DJ, the photographer, the flowers and a bridal shower set. Pretty much everything else we have left we can do throughout the next 6 months and when Matt comes home. It is still so unreal to me. I can't wait to marry my best friend, but I think I am more excited for him to come back home.

3 weeks down, 13 more to go.

1 down, 15 more to go

Weeks that is. 

15 more weeks till my cute fiance comes home.

I know it has only been a week but I am doing a lot better than I thought.

As long as I get to skype with him at night I am okay.

Don't get me wrong, I miss him like crazy

but I can't dwell on that.

I just have to be strong. And I have been so far.

I can do this, I CAN do this.

So Matt has left the country.

He left yesterday morning.

It was hard, man was it hard.

Yesterday was a so-so day. I only had 2 major break downs 

one was in the morning and then one at bed time.

I was lucky and I could fall asleep, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to.

But I had to pull out my teddy bear and snuggle with it to do so.

Today was a good day.

I went dress shopping AND found THE dress.

(I will share that story another day)

I had a girls night and watched Beauty and the Beast.

It was much needed.

I am so scared to be without him.

He is my best friend, we are always together

and not just because we HAVE to be but because we WANT to be.

The longest we have been apart is a week, so this is a whole new experience.

I can't imagine when it comes to be March and 2 months have past and I am use to being without him.

I hate looking forward to March and knowing that will be my new "norm"

We are able to email each other and skype but in 2 weeks they are taking away their wireless.

Which is understandable because he doesn't need to be skyping, emailing, or facebooking

all the time while he is there but I know once that is gone, communicating

will be less.

I am scared.

I have cried every time we say "good night" while skpying.

Pushing the end button is so, so hard.

Goodbye October

 

October has flown by too fast for me.

Usually I am super excited and ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas

but this year I am hoping for it to slow down so I can 

enjoy these last few months of 2010...

Last Sunday we spent the afternoon at 

Parkhurst Pumpkin Patch

with some friends. 

It was fun!

Then we came home and carved pumpkins!

Of course I had to clean the pumpkin out

because apparently pumpkin guts are gross.

And Matt celebrated his senior night last Tuesday night.

(i'm a little happy that soccer season is almost over,

unfortunatly,  

we will be living at hat trick playing indoor on Sunday afternoons.:) woo-hoo.) 

...I found out that Matt will be leaving January 10th 

for Costa Rica until May.

So...
